SB6120 "192.168.100.1 webpage not accessable"

I have a new SB6120 I use with my Comcast service. I am able to get connected to the Internet (and had Comcast authorize the modem on their network) but I am unable to access the modem through the typical 192.168.100.1 web interface. Can someone tell me what is wrong with the modem or is there a work around? This will make it impossible to update the firmware.

I can't answer your question as to why you can't access the web interface, but I can tell you that your ability to access the web interface has no bearing on firmware updates. The firmware on cable modems can only be updated by your ISP (Comcast in your case). The customer is not allowed to change the firmware.

Are you using a router?
Have you power cycled the modem?

I have powered cycled my WRT54G2 and modem (many times). The modem still works as far as the connection to the Internet. I still can not get to the web page for the modem. Is there another web address I should be using?

That is the correct address. Have you tried a direct connection PC to modem?
