I use my copper strictly for DSL--I don't even have phones hooked up anymore. Will Frontier let me drop the voice part of my service in favor of just DSL?
If so, does anyone know the lowest service tier they'll do this with? Thank you. |

| Frontier I know is now allowing for people to drop their phone line in exchange for a DSL line. Whether or not it is available, that will have to be a question to ask Frontier. Don't be surprised though once you're put onto Dry Loop DSL if you still get dial tone, as depending on how Frontier has things set up you can get anything from free local calling to just basic 911 service, or no service at all with only DSL working.
The lowest service tier I believe you're talking about is Frontier Lite (if this is what it's called) which is 1Mbps/128kbps. They should be able to do it with any tier though.
But your best bet is to see what Frontier says they can provide in your area, unless someone else here whether a member or an anon has better information than me. -- It's all fun and games in a Team Fortress 2 battle until your sentry gun is sapped by the Spycrab! |
