 Different color for OP

In a thread, it would be nice to have the OP as a different color than the rest of the posts - on the left hand side where their username and avatar are.

Much like your own posts are a different color, and posts of people that you follow.

Yay or nay?

I don't see a need for this. But I'll remain neutral.

Perhaps not completely necessary, but IMO would be a nice additional feature.

Considering the source, I can live with that.

There have been times I've been reading a lengthy thread in one of the technical forums and wondered if the original poster has posted back with supplemental information in a latter post. Not everyone has a catchy avatar to readily identify posts, as such I can see some value in color coding the OP.

Therefore, *sign*

That would be one of the better uses for the feature. It would make solving a problem in a long thread easier if you could easily see OP updates on the problem without scanning every post looking for the username/avatar.

I can see it being helpful. Would also make it more readily apparent when the O/P doesn't participate beyond their original post and may just be playing a troll game.

I always find myself having to scroll back to the top to recall who started a thread so I find this idea great

Sign for original idea.

Will give another idea, Maybe under OP name have "OP" display, that way when we are reading we know who is OP.

Not a bad idea. My idea could have different variations (ie. different colour, different posting tag, or even an "OP" logo.

"OP" meaning original post or original postER? Enough with the lazy abbreviations.

I Just Had An Idea

It could be something that we add to I See People that way, if you want to see it, you'll add something like %op to your code.

This way those who want it can have it, and those who don't, won't be forced to have it. It also won't be a huge, forum-wide change implemented on everyone.

What do you say to this idea?
