Re: Different color for OP

That's a great idea. It doesn't really matter for the social forums but in technical ones it would be very useful to clearly see which posts are from the OP.

"OP" meaning original post or original postER? Enough with the lazy abbreviations.
Yes, as in the Reply OP button on the bottom of the page.

Yeah, more laziness there. "Reply [to] original post" and "Reply [to] original poster" both make sense there. And in computer/Internet terms, "op" is more associated with "operator".

If you can't figure out what a basic acronym like this means then maybe the problem isn't everyone else's "laziness".

OP has always meant "original poster". Please, let's not get this thread off topic.

I think it is a good idea and having it as a choice in I See People is even better.

*Sign* Why not put 'O.P.' next to the reply box in each post. Clicking on it would change the color of the OP.

I would also like to see the Reply OP box in each post, (I think it use to be) to make it clear who the poster is responding to.

I like the thought that OP posts, and "Reply OP" be colorized the same!

2. Change background color of author posts the same (similar) way as you do for user posts. It will allow easy track (or filer if you will) author/initiator's posts of the thread among a big set of other replies, and therefore be more helpful to the author, while keeping the thread on its topic.
Good idea

Re: I Just Had An Idea

It could be something that we add to I See People that way, if you want to see it, you'll add something like %op to your code.

This way those who want it can have it, and those who don't, won't be forced to have it. It also won't be a huge, forum-wide change implemented on everyone.

What do you say to this idea?

Adding it to I See People should make everybody happy, as those that don't want to see it, won't.

"I see people" only lets you add so many characters to it.

It would also be nice if "I see people" characters allowed would be increased.
