Doctor Olds posted : I'd have to see the DSL Stats from the working Modem, but normally if a P645M works then a P660R should also work.

Look at the printed label on the bottom of the P645M for UHP. If it is a UHP Modem, the DSL Stats are easy to obtain using any web browser when directly connected to the Modem, but if it is the non-UHP Modem you have to use Telnet and enter a few commands to obtain the DSL Stats.

»EarthLink DSL FAQ »How to Get to the Logs, the Diagnostics Page, and the DSL Statistics Page - UHP

HTH
--
What’s the point of owning a supercar if you can’t scare yourself stupid from time to time?

anon posted : The old modem is a ZyXel 645M. EarthLink seems to think there is a problem with my phone line (slow speed). Would that affect the 660R-D1 more than the 645M? Is it more sensitive somehow?

trouble with new earthlink modem

anon posted : I am trying to use a new ZyXel P-660R-D1 DSL modem with Snow Leopard. The old modem works fine, but the new one won't establish a DSL connection. EarthLink tech support's answer is to keep sending new modems, but I have received 2 and neither will connect. Any ideas?
