lorennerol posted : The install was a nightmare. Most of the SE reps seemed to have little or no training on the product.

I think the client has had two outages since we closed out the install. What they revealed is that SE has no way to see what's happening with these BizE circuits; all they can do is call XO and open a ticket.

You'll need two routers (yes, two) if you want to use more than one public IP (unless they've changed the Hatteras hardware).

Oh, and it's not Ethernet. It's bonded DSL. So you'll have the same 'overhead' loss as with any other SE DSL circuit.

My bottom line: You'll get better service and reliability with a bonded T1. You'll get better bits/$ with BizE.

adamdoesit posted : I'm evaluating Speakeasy Business Ethernet for a client in NYC that has outgrown the bandwidth of its Covad T1 circuit. Business-class cable and Business FiOS are not available at the client's location, which narrows their options to bonded T1 or Business Ethernet. BizE's price for bandwidth is compelling, compared to bonded T1.

Public reports on BizE service are few and far between. lorennerol and danggang reported on their experiences back in March and April. I'd like to know if the poor reliability of those circuits has improved over time, or if others on this forum have new experiences with SE BizE to report.

Thanks for your input.
