Anyone experiencing a Slowdown?

East of Cobourg area.

My line has been perfect up until today, now really slow. Nothing has changed on my end, everything the same (only difference is speed).

Something going on in the neighbourhood?

Now Download 1.48 Mb/s

Used to be around 4.8 Mb/s

I'm right near you, well actually, I'm right in the city in West Hill... no changes here.

Been rock steady and up for 31 days (time since last power outage).

It might have something to do with my Teksavvy phone activation. Just checked my confirmation Email and it states that the switch from Bell to Teksavvy phone will occur today. Hopefully Bell isn't up to anything nefarious...

Posted in the direct forum, awaiting the expert opinion.

I've had slow downs for the past few days; generally my download speeds fluctuated around 450 KB/sec, but it seems to top out at 254 KB/sec now; tried restarting and no difference, I'll run a test on the line tomorrow to see what it could be. Is anyone else experiencing a slowdown?

Yep, usually get 309KB/s, down to 167KB/s, peaked at 171KB/s and got my hopes up but alas

Just viewed my stats:

Line Profile (before switching to Teksavvy Home Phone):
d5056/u800 on Fast Path

Line Profile (After the switch on Oct1):
d1728/u800 on Fast Path

All other stats (signal, attenuation, capacity) are exactly the same for both profiles. Hopefully it's just a matter of being switched back to the proper profile.

Ya throw a post in the direct forum and they should be able to get your line bumped back to full speed.

All is good once more.

Looks like the home phone switch messed something up, but now everything is resolved....and I'm on an even faster profile.
