Re: [Modding] 4th core on a tri core cpu Iv been running prime since I enabled the 4th core only turning it off to game. |
 | Sounds good... lastly I'd run Speedfan to read the actual temps you are running. 1.55vcore is probably the upper limit of voltage you want to run to the processor.
Good job! |
 | Cant read the core temps with the 4th core unlocked, as you can see it reports -256C (with 3 it works ok) but AMD Overdrive reads the MB CPU temp at 50-55C (has always been about 10C higher then the core temp) Maxed out by prime. |
 | Speedfan will read the correct temps once you unlock the 4th core... |

| Wont do it on this board, just the same temps that Overdrive gives me.
Also has some incorrect information for some of the other sensors.

 | reply to Napsterbater I got it to boot with all core selected still only shows 3 cores. |

| That's the Motherboard's CPU Temp sensor (same as what Overdrive gives) but the CPU own Core temp is 0c or -256c depending on the program, witch is what I was trying to tell you.
The motherboard's CPU temp was always 10c higher then the core temp. |
 | reply to Smoove910 I have done some reading online that states the max voltage for the cpu is 1.425 is this correct acording to amd? |
 | 1.55 is the max for this processor.
Also the Temp1 in speed fan is the Motherboard's temp sensor for the CPU, note the Core says 0c, before unlocking the mobos temp was always about 10c higher. |
 | would that be for the 710 or for the 720? |
 | 1.55v max for the 720BE |
