That would be interesting. Computer Puzzle Kid doesn't seem to do anything except play third wheel in the love triangle with the young Lt. and the Senator's daughter. They need to get him to do some puzzle solving on the ship's systems. Or something.
I find it odd that I can only remember two of the character's names in the show. Dr. Rush and Camille Ray (played by Ming-Na). -- "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." - H. L. Mencken

| lol. I only remember Camille Ray because she was one of the "lucky" ones to get chosen for the shuttle in last week's episode. Plus I liked Ming-Na when she was on E.R. -- "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." - H. L. Mencken

| reply to leer I read the spoilers mentioned above in this thread, did some research on gateworld.net and all that came to mind was to roll my eyes at the utter lack of creativity.
I give this show 2 seasons, maybe 3. -- Whats smells like blue? |

| yeah yeah yeah thats the guy, Eli! You would think that I could remember his name since he is my favorite character at least for now. If they will use him like I was talking about above I think he might steal the show.

| reply to Omega said by Omega :Yet another bad episode in a bad show. Why do they keep on insist on putting religious references into the show? It's the character! The guy's parents were killed and he was raised by a priest. I hardly think saying the Lord's Prayer is out of character. It definitely has no mystical religious impact on the show. You are looking waaay to deep into this show. -- We will always be much more human than we wish to be. |

| reply to leer I kind of like the fact that the crew members that went on the mission are still sporting sunburns. Weird and oddly placed attention to detail I guess.
It also seems to me that the Destiny is supposed to sort of take on a persona of its own. Its a kind of unseen character like Moya from Farscape. Although there is no biological component to her, for all we know there might be an Ancient in some form of suspended animation merged with the ship. I know its a stretch, Im just saying.
Anyway, I liked this last episode Light. |

| reply to leer I`m amused that 05 was so well predicted here on this thread.
I still contend that the show is lame.
Hmm most North American shows are 13 episode seasons.
That means this still `turkey`in my opinion, is half over and still looking for a reason for me to care if it ends at the end of this season.
I still don`t care if they ever make it back.
They`ve seen no one, been to no interesting places, and still have no reason to think the ship isn`t an eventual coffin. |

| reply to leer episode 6 didn't do much to move the story along. bit more character development, and we now know they only gained 40% capacity power from the sun. on the dessert planet i thought he saw an ancient and the sand alien - and they were one in the same. I was kinda disappointed the sand aliens were not. I was hoping they'd get some ascended alien help at some point along the way. shame they have to waste another episode solving their water problem. |

| reply to leer Ugh, this episode was too much like the last part of "Air."
They have a 20-episode order (unless SyFy pulls the plug on it which would mean certainty of a loss), so we're only a third of the way now. I'm guessing as we approach the middle of the season, the slow-moving main plot will grind completely to a halt and we'll have episodes of nothing but characterization/character conflict/flashbacks. -- Anthropogenic climate change has been debunked |

1 edit | reply to leer Half way through a dismal flop or a third, hmm like that really helps.
Have not seen a single fucking ep where they meet an interesting planet and culture, not one interesting encounter that results in a battle. No sign of bad guys let alone good guys, and there has been no sign of hope of even turning around let alone ever getting back.
Were we supposed to be enjoying this show?
They haven't even managed to convince me the cast even wants to live together let alone survive a challenge not created by their largely maintenance heavy derelict space ship.
I just started watching Sanctuary (scored the first season on download). 6 shows in and a lot of great stuff has happened. They've gone places, met all sorts of odd creatures, had the flash from the past and the nasty people that hate them episodes.
It doesn`t take 6 episodes of plodding worthless drecht to get a show going unless you want to use SGU as an example.
I wouldn`t be watching this series at all, if I wasn`t just damned bored as hell some days and ok with watching anything. |
