Now that the old system has been turned off I am forced to try to use the new system. Which, for my location is quite miserable. With the old system I would routinely get 1.5 Mb/s and pings around 50-70ms. The new is considerably worse. Sigh.

Wouldn't you rather have a new tower built on top of your house or something?

Honestly, I'd rather have U-verse... Less than one week and Clear will be an afterthought.

Speed varies a lot but rarely over 3MB's Not great when paying for unlimited. It is better then 1.5 MB DSL from Quest(fastest available) I don't want to pay the much higher price for Comcast.

There you have it, I'm consistently above the 10Mbps mark as Clear upgrading the firmware on the Ethernet modem.

Hi,

This is Chris with clear support. Just a couple of things here. First, you guys that are getting lower than expected speeds, if can please give us a call at 1-888-888-3113 we can look to see what is causing your speeds to be slow. Second, if you are using a USB modem at home you may want to try and swap for a Home modem instead since they pick up more signal inside. Thank you for your posts.

Chris, can you answer a question about latency on Clear's WiMAX network? Why is it so much higher than Clearwire's and wired lines, and can it be lowered at all?

I have been calling on a weekly basis with no resolve other than there's a tower problem. The tower problem needs to get fixed, It is now into 6 weeks with a tower problem.

Tonight's service which is a surprise atm since it is above 1mb

WiMAX RSSI: -56 dBm
WiMAX CINR: 30 dB

You guys with legacy Clearwire service are lucky bastards, latency on Clear WiMAX is so much higher.
