AT&T Tech support probelm

What tech support? I didn't get any support from them.
I was on the phone with Mike(the support guy) for about 45 min. to an hour. My friend has asked me to help hook up the DSL Modem at his place. He got the modem last week and couldn't connect. The problem seem to be that the modem couldn't detect the dsl signal(Blinking red dsl lights). So, I was there at his place and call the tech support up. After long testing this and that, he said he will have the maintenance guy come over to look for a problem. Sounds good? After that he say he can't connect with the maintenance guy. ?? Then he told me to call back during business hour. Why do I have to call back? You heard all the problem, just make a note for someone to tell the guy to come and fix it. He refuse to do that.

If I could call during business hour, why do you think I call you now?
Your business hour is my business hour too!! This is DSL HOME problem. Beside, if you're gonna tell me to call back in the morning, why should AT&T hire you for? they could just put an answering machine to do just that.
