| Does MagicJack set a Diffserv packet mark or not?
Doesn't anyone know FOR SURE if magicjack VoIP is setting a Diffserve/TOS code point coming out the ethernet?
I highly doubt it, but was wondering if someone knew for sure.
Also, is Magicjack locked to a throughput/codec? If so, what is the throughput in kbps for the active line? |

| Apparently it doesn't.
After looking at the Wiki and the thread on Tomato QoS I can see the long process of what they are doing.
Another solution (speaking from an ISP owner standpoint) is to maybe try to mark the packets with Diffserv codepoint 46 after the destination is identified.
This will help with upload on a provider (like ours) that prioritizes Diffserv CP 46 (which is what most ATA's use).
That way you could get QoS on bursty accounts too and let the provider network sort it out... |
