That was great, I liked how it came back to life. I guess that was the 2nd and last trip. Also when the guy asked where the fire dept? Well not much a fire dept can do in that situation except notify electric company and watch like everyone else. Didn't seem to be any houses or people in immediate danger

The tree almost looked like it was alive. I could see its two arms touching the wire.... strange.

I was wondering about that break in the fireworks as well, it might have been a recloser (»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autorecloser). If the line tripped, power utilities have equipment that will re-energize the line. All the more reason to stay away from down wires, or shorts like this, you would never know if the line was about to become live again.

That was about six blocks from my house.

A move blew in one of my power strips during this.

local distribution is 12/7kV. The higher poles may be 60kV regional transmission.

You do realize I was making fun of what the guy said at 2:15 in the video, right?

Looks like someone didn't do good enough job of trimming back that tree from the lines!

My apologies then. Didn't make it past the 2-minute mark. I think the dude in the video was joking too...

I don't know if the guy in the vid was joking or not, but I did get laugh out of it either way. Sarcasm can be difficult to detect on the internet, no worries here...
