Isn't Clearwire converting all fixed markets to Mobile WiMAX? At least that was my understanding.

Don't think so. They are converting some older systems to the current WiMax version. It was never 'clear' to me what the difference was between their newer fixed and mobile services were, other than a marketing point.

The older fixed Clearwire service is a different and incompatible technology than the mobile WiMax "Clear". Eventually they do plan to convert all the old fixed service subscribers to "Clear".
