I have in fact traveled from coast to coast, and border to border and Verizon has always had better coverage. I have two phones - one from Verizon and one from AT&T. Believe me, I wish that ATT had better coverage because ATT is my work phone and hence it's more important that I'm reachable on ATT versus Verizon.
