Re: in Russia... Russian in 2005 was just exiting one of the WORST collapses in Modern History. From the early 1990s (USSR imploding) until around 2001/2002 Russia and the old Soviet Bloc was in such a crippling "Depression", that as much as 20-25 percent of the people were unemployed. Similarly, the Russian Economy was Mafia run and black market. Russia has once again found it's footing and significantly grown due to oil since then. I would guess their salaries would be far higher now, even with the current economic crisis. |
