Are You Using Microsoft Security Essentials?

And do you plan to continue using it? Wondering if there are enough folks here using it to warrant including the product in the updates listing.

I'm using it on the WIN7 RC. As soon as I get my real copy of WIN7 and go through the looong upgrade process, one of the first programs I'm loading is MSE. Very happy with it.

Negative. Avira 9 PSS is all I need.
Microsoft failed to make it compatible with Windows XP64.

I am running MSE on my Windows 7 Ultimate laptop and my wife's XP Pro desktop. I have also installed it on a number of computers belonging to relatives or urged them to install it.

Have installed it on 3 or 4 computers so far. It seemed to adversely affect upload speed on Ebay uploading photos on one computer. Removed it and reinstalled Avast and problem disappeared. Working great for remainder of pc's.

No...AVGFree and WDefender are good enough for me. Vista Home Basic and IE7 won't be upgraded either I'm very happy with what I have.

I use it on my may laptop but also plan to install it on my 2 towers once my Kaspersky license expires in November. I don't like its update mechanism as it seems to miss updating if the laptop is off when its scheduled to update. Other than that, it seems good so far. The real test will be if it continues to get high marks in virus tests or if MS gets lazy with it like they did with Windows Defender.

Have been using it throughout beta and now release. Light on system resources and a pleasant interface. Please add to updates.

I'm currently running it on two machines - a Desktop XP with SP3 (32 bit) and on my primary use notebook with Windows 7 (x64).

Been very pleased with it so far.

Yes, using it here on a few machines. I wish the update interval was less though. My hibernating laptops can go for days without updates. I think it should check for updates sooner than typical hibernate times are. And then check upon waking up.
