Why don't you look into mobile broadband? Verizon has a plan starting at 39.99 a month. All you need is to purchase the USB wireless modem and start a plan. It would cost you $5 more than what your paying for now. A friend of mine has it, mobile broadband IS fast. He wanted highspeed, but didnt want the extra phone line for DSL and he didnt want a cable line. Check it out, it might work for you.
I borrowed a sprints card from a guy at work and it didn't work in my house. The only reason I haven't got a card from AT&T is because I have an iPhone and I would hate if they bring out tethering for it and I already purchased a card from AT&T. What im probably going to do is see what the broadband plan will do for me (if anything at all). Till then I will live with this dial up that ive been living with for 7 years. -- One day, High speed internet will be down my road! Willing to put DSLAM's or cable plants on my yard.
