| DIR-655 issues
I have a customer using the DLink DIR-655 Firmware Version: 1.32NA Hardware Version: A3.
They are a small business with a bunch of employees using computers and voip phones (up to around 6 concurrent calls). More and more often it seems that their phones stop registering with the SIP server - a problem that is rectified once the router is rebooted. This will often coincide with the inability to initiate new connections from their PCs as well.
Any ideas? Fixes, workarounds, or another quality router with QOS support that can handle high volume? |

| Turn off DNS Relay. It's a well-documented issue on these forums.
You will have to break all of the IP leases after you make this change to restore connectivity. I have everything on DHCP reservations, so I had to shut down all of my equipment to accomplish this. -- So put me on a highway, and show me a sign. And take it to the limit one more time... |

Wow, if this works, I will be ever so thankful! |

Thanks AS |

No, I didn't have to delete the reservations. All I did was shut down every piece of equipment on my network. All of our PC's, my wireless AP, my network printer, my FIOS STB's, etc. Once I had everything shut down, I brought it all back up again starting with the router.

Thanks AS I use OpenDNS so I put their server entries right into the DNS fields on the WAN setup for the router. You can also enter in the ones for your particular ISP. -- So put me on a highway, and show me a sign. And take it to the limit one more time... |
