[SNOW] Season's First Snow??

Did I hear possible snow Thursday? And will the H1N1 vaccine protect me from snow?

Thursday: Cloudy with rain developing. Some sleet or snow could mix over the higher elevations. Low: 32. High: 46.

Doubt we'll have snow. I see snow in October only about once a decade, I think.

I can't wait for global warming. Once Connecticut has the same climate as Florida, I'll never have to think about moving. Well aside from all the taxes Connecticut seems to like to add every year.

Oh, while I'm at it: I've not yet turned on the heat in my apartment though I think that will happen sometime this week. One of my weather widgets says it may get to near freezing on Wednesday and Friday mornings. It's beginning to feel a little chilly in here.

I bought mine several weeks ago. It'll all be for me as Halloween will be on a work night this year. Guess I can turn on the heat whenever I feel like.

Oh no, not snow already!
My inlaws are here from the Philippines, but they already booked a flight to San Diego, CA for the first week of Nov, because they are too cold already.
I'm beginning to think about heating oil and price shopping again.
But geeze... it rained all summer, and I didn't get much done on my roof repairs as a result, and I'm not quite done closing things up for winter. Snow is definately NOT welcome at this time for THIS resident.

But wait..there's more...... We bought a little place up in VT this spring. They get a lot of snow up there.

"How much snow do they get Captain Snowcat?"

We didn't realize the house had two propane tanks until the home inspector started digging.

Not in my area at least! Maybe up in the hills.

Good place for it, they can have it! (my apologies to any snow haters who may live up in the hills)

That is one perk to living on the shoreline. We for the most part get spared the brunt of winter. Good ol' Long Island Sound!

@snet.net

It's snowing in New Milford. Started around 2PM. Everything on the mountain is covered in white as I write this.
Oddly, I have water leaking in the hallway, despite putting a tarp on the unfinished roof repairs. Must be condensation.
Folks are here from the Philippines and are glued to the picture window, watching the snow, which is a first in their 65 years of life.

Nothing but rain here. I love the shoreline!

I hope this is the case with every storm that comes this way this winter. Please, Long Island Sound, keep it rain for our area!

Sky-snot splats on the windshield while driving in Windsor, home of the decorative Zamboni.
