| [Zoom] I messed up my modem's Firmware (5651)
Hi, I have Zoom X4 5451 DSL modem that i kinda screwed by flashing it. The problem occurred when i was updating its firmware, after restarting it started flashing all LEDs which i read some where means bad firmware or some thing, after which i researched alot and found out that I can use tFTP to upload a firmware which kinda Killed it. So than I found out about viking recovery method and made a 6-pin header cable thingy. and Use Loadfi.exe program from DOS to upload the firmware available for my modem on zoom support website after which it came back to life, sort of (by that I mean it turns on lan LED when i plug in a cable which it didnt use to do before)but I just cant access modem settings via web browser, than I tried alot of different firmwares of similar modems , cant even get it to sync with DSL line aswell.
I will greatly appreciate if some one can help me fix it. I can provide more detail if necessary.
BTW what is bootrom? |
