I dont agree with numba 2 or 8 being in the list!
Realplayer was OK up until version 8 when AOL joined realnetworks and totally destroyed the player!! (I have version 8 and love it)
It does not start on boot or try to take over anything.....
People complaining about RP are probably referring to the newer pieces of garbage which are overbloated, have ads,etc.... (Thats the AOL influence (Adding of the ads))
And IE6 is the BEST version of IE in my opinion, looks MUCH BETTER than version 7 or 8!! (They both look like crap and have lots of un-needed garbage in them)
Browsers are only as safe AS THE USER IS! (No need to have the browser being bogged down doing stuff you can do yourself!) |

| 'numba' ? what's a numba?
Number 2, Realplayer, Was okay back when it was version 2 or 3, back around the year 99/2000. Then I stopped using it. I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole, and happily use a 'Real' alternative (Included in K-Lite's codec packs) for anything (rarely) that requires the use of realmedia.
As for IE6... Good riddance. Not only was it a pain in the ass to code for, if you designed a website, You'd have to practically hack it to bits with tweaks and such, as a site would look fine in every other browser, but IE would shift stuff, or not display certain things, always had to tweak something to get it to look right.
The only one I don't agree with is Number 20. the CueCat, as it can be modified to be used as a standard barcode reader (I have 2 of them.) -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |

| reply to Dude111 reaplayer, and real network, was terrible. slow loading, bulky, music player that installed all kinds of garbage along with it and didnt like being uninstalled.
.ra and.ram were absolutely fantastic codecs, though...until mp3 and divx came along |

I won't stand for anything less than 160k. 192 to 256k is preferrable. I can hear the difference between 128 and 192. as for 64k its pretty much radio quality. -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. Member of Team Helix - Join Us? |
