DownTheShore posted : I never really realized how bad WinME was until I got a WinXP computer, so I have to agree with them there.

I agree with their assessment of RealPlayer. Even when I knew even less about computers than I know now, I realized that that program was bad news.

I disagree with their assesment of CueCat. I have a modified one that I got for around $5 on eBay years ago that I use as a bar code reader for my Collectorz.com inventory programs. Works great. I never knew why there were so many of them available though, so it was interesting to learn the history of the product.
--
Patriotism is not waving a flag, it is living the ideals

I want to retire to the Isle of Sodor and ride the trains.

Zac posted : 'numba' ? what's a numba?

Number 2, Realplayer, Was okay back when it was version 2 or 3, back around the year 99/2000. Then I stopped using it. I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole, and happily use a 'Real' alternative (Included in K-Lite's codec packs) for anything (rarely) that requires the use of realmedia.

As for IE6... Good riddance. Not only was it a pain in the ass to code for, if you designed a website, You'd have to practically hack it to bits with tweaks and such, as a site would look fine in every other browser, but IE would shift stuff, or not display certain things, always had to tweak something to get it to look right. :p

The only one I don't agree with is Number 20. the CueCat, as it can be modified to be used as a standard barcode reader (I have 2 of them.)
--
~There is no Normal or Abnormal...
