Re: KB953297 failed to install! said by AB:I have only the .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 installed, and it's listed as exactly that in A/R Programs. So I can't say how 1.1 would be listed, but it seems likely it would be the same way. Hey AB how come you don't install .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 if that's all you have? It's still relatively small unlike 3.5. I really never use any of them except when I do Nlite installation and then I have to install 2.0 SP2. |

Btw, here's a quote from Microsoft on SP2:
quote: Overview
The .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 provides cumulative roll-up updates for customer reported issues found after the release of the .NET Framework 2.0. In addition, this release provides performance improvements, and prerequisite feature support for the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.

I take the "cumulative roll-up updates" to be mostly what's in SP1. (Just my take on that. Maybe I'm wrong.) My current version seems to perform just fine. As I currently have no use for v. 3.5, I also don't currently need any prerequisite feature support.
I'd like to think my trials and tribulations with n-Lite are all behind me. |
