| Feature Request - Music Hold
Is there any plan to make the music on hold feature optional? I hate not being able to put a conference call on hold to answer another, quick phone call.
Other than that, I've been on PhonePower for a month with zero issues and I'm very happy with the service. Silent hold was what I had with AT&T and I liked that freedom to quickly answer another call silently. |

| If you have a two line phone, connected to both ports on your ATA (cloned line enabled), you can just put one line on hold (with the phone's hold button) and answer the other. As well as eliminating the music, someone else can take the call while you continue on the conference. If the second call is for someone not at home, you could even e.g. transfer it to their cell and continue with the conference. |

| An interesting gadget, but I believe it's useless to the OP; he doesn't have a key/PBX system. If he did, he wouldn't have the problem in the first place! |

1 edit | reply to dh89334 We have had plans for several on hold music options, including "silence" for some time now. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we have decided to make some very large core programming changes that have pushed back some of our other projects by about 3-4 months.
These options are still going to be implemented in 2010. |

| Single line set only so the 2nd line option doesn't work for me.
OK. I'll wait patiently for 2010.
For now, I'll do a simul-ring to my cellphone and deal with the new call from the cell. Just gets a little frantic, beeps in the ear and cell ringing at the same time. |

| reply to dh89334 Basically if you're using the line for incoming calls (running a business) the hold music is probably good. But, if you are calling others, or dialing into conference calls, I don't think music hold is very 'friendly'. |
