| reply to jfmezei Re: SkyNet Canada - Starting to get some reviews in
You do realize that they are talking about locations that are going to Host their antenna's right ? It's not free for Everyone, for Life. Customers will Pay for the service. And the agreement would only be in force so long as the antenna are in place. If SkyNet remove the antenna then the agreement is void. I don't see a huge legal liability there so long as the real estate agreement is worded properly. |

| reply to sibisties I no way shapeor form can this be comparable. cable, adsl etc for one are not like a true fiber connection because they are not offering a symmetrical connection to end user. (our wireless fiber does) 2. Goes thru a crap load of nodes and gets re amped who knows how many time thru increasing latency etc (our wireless fiber is connected straight to trunk) 3. They do not as of yet offer speeds upto 150Mbs (our wireless fiber offers speeds upto 150Mbs)
What offers all the above with very low latency? a true FIBER connection.
What resembles all the above but last mile delivered via wireless? Our Wireless Fiber Service!!
Point Finale - Service name NOT changing lol |

| reply to SkyNetCanada Wireless Fibre: you have powerful lasers that are aimed extremely precisely to a pinhole size receiver in a building kilometres apart.
This way, you can claim fibre technology (lasers, lights transmission) AND wireless.

(Of course, the use of powerful lasers may attract attention of the RCMP since they would think you have become a henchmen for DrEvil's evil plans to take over the world.)
BTW, back in the 1980s, Digital had some ethernet bridges (original name for what is commonly called a switch today) which used microwave links between buildings. |

Also, what is the cost of the rooftop equipment needed ? I take it one needs a highly directional dish antenna ? |

@gc.ca | What if I was able to connect to one of your APs - would Skynet provide service then ? What type of consumer premise equipment are you installing? |

| This could be a possibility as mentioend in the past. Somewhere along the lines of a $20 or $30 a month service.
We do not offer residential services other than in high rise buildings, and in these instances, special CPE are install. In your case, any 2.4ghz 802.11 based equipment may be used. |
