Flash test results are artificially high

I'm getting results that are to good to be true when running the Flash speed test. Sometimes as high as 5700 Kb/s on AT&T DSL Elite (rated up to 6000).

I noticed that when I disable Kaspersky Anti-Virus and run the Flash speed test the results drop to about 4300 Kb/s.

So I get 5700 with Anti-Virus on and 4300 with Anti-Virus off. Doesn't make sence to me. Can someone explain what is happening?

Thanks,
Mike

Do you see the same results with a Java test?

With the Java test there is no difference in speed when Anti-Virus is on or off. I'm getting 4250 with Java (with or without Anti-Virus).

Flash tests are worse than Java tests. I would just disregard the Flash results.

When you see something that just does not make any sense, try different test sites and make a caparison of what the results are.
