1 edit | can this riaa bailout tax be reversed? Can this be reversed if enough people complain? These pieces of crap don't seem to get they are not wanted around here.

Ok first of all nothing was passed. It's not law. It got thru a Senate COMITEE. It's got a while before it's even gets voted on by the Senate and if it passes that then it's got to get voted on by the House then the president has to sign it. Then it's law. Once it's law the radio staion can file a lawsuit ni which ost like an injunction will be filed for it to not take effect until after the issue is settled by the courts which could take years. An example is COPA which was passed and signed into law by Clinton in 1998 which never took affect because of lawsuits and finally got killed in earlier this year by the Supreme Court. |

Why reverse it? Satellite radio has to pay. Internet radio has to pay. MTV had to pay, which is why they don't play videos any more. Why shouldn't ALL for profit companies that exist to play music have to pay? |
