I do not think Washington said the original quote being paraphrased ("When they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns") but the statement is still true even with the attribution to the wrong person. I have seen the same thing done with Franklin's quote about safety but at least in that case the fact it was a paraphrase was mentioned along with the Franklin attribution. |

I think the founding father to quote here is Franklin, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." A degree of anonymity is required to ensure our basic civil rights. There is a reason that voters need not disclose who they vote for and why just cause is required before search and seizure of private property. Needless will never purchase a Kaspersky product until they officially redact and apologize for that statement. |
