Does Vonage have TALKING caller-id?

I don't have Vonage but I am thinking to play musical cordless phones within our family. I just purchased new Dect phones and I have talking caller-id on the older cordless phones that I want to give to one of my two sons.

The one with Vonage lives too far away for me to simply go and run a test. Can you tell me if they would have talking caller-id if I gave that cordless system to them. They do not currently have phones with that capability.

Thank you

The talking caller ID is a feature of the phone, not the telephone service. The phone just "talks" out whatever shows up on the caller ID. If the phone has talking caller ID then it will work with Vonage's caller ID.

Its the phone. I think a lot of Panasonic phones have it. Sometimes they pronounce things wrong. At least the units I have do but wouldn't want to give it up. Don't even have to get up and look how is calling.

Our kitchen wall phone has talking caller-ID and we love it. It just announces the number but it's great to hear either a number we know, a local but previously unknown number, an obvious spam toll-free call or "unknown caller." Nice to let the unknowns and toll-free calls go straight to the recorder without getting up.
