I just wanted to put this out there since I dont see another topic on it. This game looks great, everything I have seen looks fantastic. I just wanted to know what others were thinking and if they will get this for the 360 or Ps3.

| reply to Ash3r I put a deposit on it today when trading in Falllout 3 and Brutal Legend for ODST. I'm a pretty big Bioware fan, especially their Neverwinter Nights and Baulder's gate stuff, so I have high expectations for this.
I'm actually contemplating whether to play it on my PC, as it'll look much better and probably have better controls. |

If my PC wasn't 4 years old I would have gotten on it instead, but don't feel like a rebuild now. |

I think I'm going to get it for the 360, but before I pick up my copy tomorrow I'm going to read a couple reviews to see what they say about the controls. |

I'm hoping to pick it up this afternoon, but most likely tomorrow. What did IGN say to make you change your mind? (Websensed here) That the game really was built for PC controls. On the PC version, you can go into that "top-down 75-degree angle" view that is so reminiscent of Balder's Gate and NWN. On the consoles, you only get a 3rd person view behind a single party member at a time and have to cycle through your other party members with a button. Having played both BG and NWN, I couldn't imagine being stuck in a 3rd person view like the video showed. If you watch the video review, almost all of it except for when they show the console limitations was taken on the PC.
They said it was definitely playable, but if you have a choice, the PC version will offer the best experience and absolutely better graphics if your system supports it.
They also said the PS3 had slightly better graphics than the 360, but the game would stutter in some parts. |

| reply to Matt Thanks for the summary Matt.
Yeah I got it on PS3 last night and can see the points made. Only played an hour, and seemed ok with the controller, but wasn't as natural as a keyboard / mouse combo for sure.
Gonna have to convince the wife it's time for a PC rebuild :P |

| reply to Ash3r I am 4 hours into it now and just really have a hard time seeing how the reviews were so high. (360 version) The graphics are marginal, the storyline and character development so far is bland, the voice acting is marginal at best. It's disappointing as Bioware has some good titles. |

Matt Take me down to the paradise city Premium join:2003-07-20 Jamestown, NC | I'm playing it on the PC (still in the Fade) and I think it's stunning so far. I'm only 30 minutes or so in, but the graphics are top notch as is everything else I've experienced to date.
Perhaps it's not the type of RPG you enjoy? |

Oh I do like them, that is why my disappointment level is where it is. I meant more this specific type of RPG? Did you enjoy Neverwinter Nights and Balder's Gate? In my limited play so far, I see elements of both, but with much better graphics and tons more voice. |
