| [Info] MTU optimization on windows seven w/ WiMAX
Running Windows 7 Enterprise and my ISP is Clear with their home modem that uses Ethernet. Ran a tweak test and it said my MTU was set to 1400 - when I check Windows 7 it's conifugred for 1500, so the modem has it's own MTU that I don't believe can be configured by the user of MTU. What I need to know is if there would be any improvement at all by changing the MTU of 1500 on clients behind the modem to match the MTU of the modem (1400).? |

| that your MTU settings is been configured that you checked in windows 7 then just ignore it if results says that your MTU were set be to 1400 as your access to an internet works fine. -- Professional Linux environmental blows microsoft windows out of the water. |

| reply to w0g Most tweak tests report the MTU for Win 7 and Vista incorrectly. try the following first:
»Tweaking FAQ »Changing MTU
Now the tweak test should be 1500 and you are all set to go. -- "You can observe a lot by watching". Yogi Berra |
