| Just renewed for $77 + royalty fee
I called and selected to go straight to cancelations.
When they answered I said I wanted to either cancel or renew at $77 because I do not use it enough to justify paying more.
The person on the phone said she can renew it for $77 + ~$12 music royalty fee. It was not worth arguing over the extra $12 for the year.

I just got my bill , they screwed up so much , they will lose everything except my lifetime sub now.
They turned off my lifetime sub and disabled streaming , my yearly they renewed for $165 for the year. Major billing issue.
Sorry but this may be the downfall of satellite radio soon. If your going to raise the price raise it , don't add a bogus fee and tell me congress enacted it. I don't like being lied to.
See the attached and if you can find the error. Long time sub , since they first rolled it out , now Im gone.

Another reason to get a BlackBerry/Palm Pre/iPhone/etc with an unlimited data plan and just stream internet radio into your car. I'm looking at that option when my current contract with TMo is up. |

| I am paying about $7.50 a month for xm (last year I paid $6.50 a month) and I have a inno portable xm radio so I can take it running or in my car.
An unlimited data plan is a lot more than $7.50 a month.

Mine was up on 11/10/09. I called and said I wasn't going to renew because it was just too expensive. They renewed my subscription for a year with everything for a total of $81.01
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

| I wanted to renew. I went straight to cancelations so I could get a deal. If you call the regular number it is not as easy to get a deal.
I really only use it on long drives (like 14 hrs) to listen to the news like CNN or on airplanes.
For the last few month I used it when I went running because St. John's has an FM repeater.

If I had the budget, I'd be willing to pay twice what I am paying now if it meant bringing back Fusion and Progressive formats and added more liberal talk shows.
I get weary of hearing so many people whining about it being supposedly too expensive. Let's see: Sports Shows, Games, Comedy, weather, traffic, talk shows, news channels, pbs, a mountain of music channels without advertising on most of them, improved audio compared to years ago, courteous agents, and willingness to work with customers to keep them. I should say that that is easily worth 25 a month.
Look, what do you guys pay for Cable, Satellite, or what have you? What do you pay for internet? What do you pay for cell service? Now be honest with yourself: A radio service that is a rescue from the vomit of FM and AM radio with all that programming? Stop complaining guys. How many of you here are really poor? When was the last time you ate in ANY kind of restaurant? When was the last time you bought some computer parts, software, or what have you? When is the last time you had a steak?
Now, me:
I am poor, I can't afford McDonald's dollar menu, I run that broke every month. But do you see me whining? I think all of you complainers are going to really wish you didn't think as you do when satellite radio disappears and you end up listening to crap AM and FM again. And don't tell me you've got streaming on your cell phone: Why aren't you complaining about the cost of THAT?
With satellite radio there is always a signal unless your driving in mountain areas or what have you. With FM/AM, every 15 miles you're changing stations. With Cell phone streaming you are losing signal part of the time.
XM-Sirius is a worthy product and we need to support it because otherwise it will fail and we will drop back to last century's technology.
Dude, if you don't like it, leave and leave us alone, you are being annoying and crapping on threads and it is offensive. Be "an awesome dude" and behave differently here.

| Personally I love Sirius , my car came with XM , Im ticked off they can't merge the systems.
I have 2 Sirius radios and 1 xm , why do I have to pay full price for the xm radio ?
There is to many little things that I can't let slide. Once all my terms are up Im done , I will just use an ipod and the rips of my vast music collection.

1 edit | What they mean is that person has one Sirius radio, then another at the second radio subscription price. Then they also have a radio from the XM side, in which they have to pay the full price of another subscription for it just because it's an XM radio and for some odd reason they won't allow it to be added as 3rd radio under one service.
Why they don't allow it is beyond me at this point because yes, the only thing different now is a choice between which talk channel you want.
EDIT: Example: I wouldn't mind picking up this radio »www.myradiostore.com/xm-radio-re···ect.html , but for me to be able to use it, I have to pay full price for a single subscription for it despite me having 2 Sirius radios already.

i've been a sirius radio subscriber for almost 3 years. the first 2 were with a stand along radio in my older car. i then bought a new car this year and it came with sirius built in. i don't know about some people, sirius satellite radio has become a necessity for me while I drive. i barely listen to regular radio anymore. i love BPM, the 80's and 90's and Elvis and E Street Radio and about a dozen more and 99% commercial free. Maybe it's because I take long trips for work and some pleasure trips and it's great. I'm getting a complimentary year subscription for now but when it's up, even if I have to pay full price, I'm certain I would. I think it's a great service. |

Don't get me wrong, I still really like the service and use it even more so now than I have before. I would probably go off the deep end if I was stuck with Detroit radio in my patrol car all night.

1 edit | You can't yell with text. Who cares if someone types in all CAPs. Just because you want all CAPs to mean yelling does not mean anyone else does. I certainly do not see it as anything more than the person left their CAPS lock on, big deal.
I have been using the internet since the early 90s and I have no idea where this CAPS = yelling crap came from.
