Belkin has changed the chipset in Belkin N+ so instead of 266MHz it's now 533MHz (actual 480MHz 32KB Instruction / 32KB Data) NPU and Winbond 256MB DDR2 677MHz of RAM with 8MB for Flash. They have dropped Ralink for Broadcom XLR2. |

I have the PDF and no more Ralink are being used. 480MHz NPU from Broadcom, Ram is now Winbond 32MB not 256MB (256-bits) Winbond needs to clean up their PDF or make it more clear) The 266MHz is very good I would buy another one if I could but now it's all V2 or V3. V1 had a stronger 802.11n signal though. V3 would be more like WRT610N since both have the same type of chips. |

| I bought both the V1000 and V2000 and took the V1000 back. In my house the wireless speeds were higher with the V2000 with a slightly stronger signal, plus it is handling more global connections with torrents than the V1000 did. I tested for a week. Both are great though, the only problem I laugh at is the stupid download meter doesn't work on either unit for me. Ronmexico, I would buy another V2110 (my model) in a heartbeat over the 1000. |

I wish I had known I would have taken that V1 from you? Which store had V1? All routers handle Torrents at 2,000 sessions. Belkin N+ V1 was faster than DIR-655 in torrents. V2 and V3 are more restrictions that V1 did with FCC rules. |

FCC photo and letter seem it was just created, I don't know when they'll release it. I am told the specs are the same as WRT610N. How come you don't stick with V1.
Ran this test last night. I did peak at 47 down but didn't have the equipment going at the time. But my upload increase to almost 10. This is all from the Belkin N+ V1 throughput on WAN is pretty strong. V3 is all Broadcom chips.

| reply to tipstir All routers do NOT handle sessions the same. Try downloading a torrent with your global maximum connections above 300 and you'll see your router cough in pain. I told you a while ago about Costco in Enfield having the V1000 for $75. To each his own, but I tested for a week and will take a newer updated product over an older one. How do you know the new V3000 is more restrictive when it isn't even out yet? The FCC doesn't post comparative testing results and the rules are open to technical interpretation. A short time ago you didn't even know there was a difference between the 1000 and 2000 and the difference in chipsets. Again, to each his own. |

They also have the Linksys Dual Band also I'll past on that.
Maximum Simultaneous Connections 200 on this router. I've have my BT/DWL BOX set to 100 it does handle it well it doesn't choke with the 832KB packet for the WAN/LAN Very fast and 32MB of RAM.
V1 based on Ralink RT2880 you said V2 is based on all-in-on chipset RT3xx N version without gig and usb is the worst one to get as it has that chip that you're raving about. V3 Based on Broadcom but those wireless in those chips aren't the greatest. Broadcom uses it's own Gig switch controller. I was asking the Editor of Smallnetbuilder if he could test V3 out the answer was no! I won't buy V3.
Again it's not to each is own.. my requires are: double RAM big difference from 16MB to 32MB. Gig buffer packet memory and performance. I've measured BT and it better on the Belkin N+ V1 than it was on DIR-655 A3 although both use the same Gig controller chipset.
Belkin N+ is $69 on Amazon with free shipping but I don't know which version it is? |
