I'll be getting it, though I find the 64.99$ for the deluxe edition to be an extreme price tag... G2play hopefully will have cheaper keys! |

| reply to Ash3r I love G2play... I got WinPro7 for 105$US.... beat that!
I wonder how they make money... buy in huge volume?
I'm liking Impulse more and more...they're more flexible than Steam. I already have Sins of a Solar Empre + Expansion and Demigod there... might get Dragon Age there too! |

The prices on G2play.net seem... very inexpensive.
This may seem silly, but is it legit? |

TigerLord Resident Pentaxian Premium,Mod join:2002-06-09 Montreal | reply to Ash3r I've bought about 5 games so far form there, 3x EA games (which required a key to download it from their official servers), 2x Steam games and Windows, and all of them activated and worked fine. |

|
TigerLord Resident Pentaxian Premium,Mod join:2002-06-09 Montreal | reply to Ash3r You get the key from G2play and add it to your Steam account, and download the game as if you would have purchased the game from Steam directly. |

| reply to Ash3r Direct2Drive pre-load started today. Impulse or Steam do not have pre-loads AFAIK. Game is coming out tuesday at 10:00AM PDT.
If you use coupon code SURVEY-09 on Impulse you can get 10% off... I got the Deluxe Edition for 54.30$CAD. Considering the standard edition is sold for 49.99$CAD in shops here, plus tax, plus gas, it was a great deal. |

| reply to Ash3r I'm wondering if I should download this from D2D with my specs or just wait and grab it for either PS3 or Xbox 360.
Windows XP SP3 Q6600 @ stock 2.4 GHz 2 GB RAM GTX 275 22" LCD @ 1680x1050
If the game will look better and play faster on my 42" TV with a console, I'll just wait a year or two and buy this game for $20 off Steam after another round of PC upgrades. Basically, if I can't expect to see higher frame rates, more creatures on screen, and equal or better graphics on my computer, I'll pass on the PC version for now.
Oblivion is sluggish in spots, but manageable, and Mass Effect is fine on my computer, so if I can get a similar performance with DAO, I'll give it a go.
I'm not going to overclock anything and my next upgrade will be going to Windows 7 and increasing my ram to 4 GB, if that's even really an upgrade. Other than that, I probably won't be making any major computer purchases until after the holidays.
I'm not expecting a bunch of facts on the issue, just some subjective feedback on my options.
Thanks! |

| reply to jmn1207 I hate Steam.
Just downloaded and messed around with the demo player creator tool and watched the promotional video. Then I parsed through a 250 page system requirement forum thread for the game, and now I am about 25% through pre-loading the $65 digital deluxe version. Damn you, Steam! |

Thanks! well xbox will prolly be 720p, ps3 could be 1080p, we dont know yet, but your system will almost definitely max out the quality @ 1920x1080 or higher.
i dont see how either console version could have better graphics at all. -- Somnambulator - t3h 5133pw41k3r

| reply to jmn1207 2GB of RAM might bottleneck your system a bit. You could definitely OC that Q6600 a bit, even on stock cooler (I have the same CPU and run it at 3.6ghz!) and your video card is also fine... you'll be able to max it out at your res! |

| Just to sound off on the above post. That chip is a hella overclocker. Im running at 3.3 right now on stock cooler. My fan does run more to keep the temps low but everything is stable. ---Now back to Topic--- Hoping to get some feedback on this game when it comes out. Im also looking for something to replace the MMO addiction and hope this is it. -- -Occasionally glancing up thru the rain , an watching for pigs on the wing- |

| reply to Ash3r Pre-loading the standard version on Steam right now, for some reason I couldn't stomach paying 15.00 more for the deluxe in game goodies. I figure there will be hacks to get gear at some point.
I think it should be a great game, I also hope my 8800gts 640mb will suffice for now, I'd like to buy a ATI 5870 if they ever get back in stock at newegg. |

| reply to Ash3r I got the Deluxe Edition also and am now pre-loading. Just curious, anyone else only see 'Dragon Age: Origins' and no tag mentioning the DE? I was wondering if there should be a difference.
BTW. I also have the Q6600, but not overclocked. I never got into OC'ing as I always worry about screwing things up with a very expensive board and chip (at the time). I might try it out with my next rig. -- As quiet as a fish.. |
