kudos:1 | No more carrier subsidised service? If you're not signing some contract that say "you get this awesome phone for $49.99 but we get to ream you up the ass for the next two years", any awesome phone they make is going to be either:
a) Not really profitable.
b) junk
c) really, really expensive.
I'd love to see some more competition, so RIM thinks twice before having such buggy phones(the storm), but I don't see it going far practically without a way to keep the price low.
