Hmmm...Symbian is the OS on 50% of all the phones in the world and is also open source:»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbian_OSSo I still don't see what a Google phone offers, unless it's less expensive than competing phones.
That article says that the Symbian source code won't be published until next year. Anyway, point taken.
