•added a capability to move system files to the faster part of the disk; this significantly speeds up system boot and makes it running more stable
•significantly improved automatic defragmentation mode
•defragmentation speed increased by approximately 30-50%
•added disk optimization commands to the console version of the program
•added an option of minimizing the program into system tray
•Disk Defrag can now be set to start automatically on Windows logon
•improved exceptions list function. Fixed a bug that led to defragmentation slowdowns caused by a great number of files in the list
•added a “Real Time Priority” mode that boosts defragmentation speed by using additional system resources
•various minor improvements and optimizations

Thanks Trout  i like this new version. To install this version i had to uninstall my old one first, for some reason this 3.0.2.40 wouldn't install over the older one. |

Well, as you know Mark, that's the way I've has always done it, because that's the way the developer always said to do it....only takes a few seconds to remove the old.

Installing and Upgrading
To download and install the program follow the steps below.
If you are upgrading, make sure you exit and uninstall the program before downloading and installing the new version.

Anyway, nice program, and I'm glad you're all set. 
(Edit) I must say though, one thing I've always found mildly irritating when uninstallig the old version, is it generally opens a browser page, asking why you're uninstalling the program, and to submit some feedback
I even replied once or twice, saying:
"Well, duh, I'm uninstalling it because I love the program and you told me to uninstall the older version before I installed the newer version.
Didn't help at all.

Yeah i have always hated it opening my browser asking why i deleted it.
Edit: You know me if i can pound over top i would never uninstall any program no matter what the vendor says. |

Now I'm lost...
What do we choose now to use this thing?
Options to "Analyze" or "Defrag" or "Defrag & Optimize".
They just made an easy program complicated and confusing.
What is "Real Time Priority" and do we check it?
What is "Defrag Priority"?
Why are they making this program harder to use. I just wanted a simple fast defragmenter.

After doing all three "Analyze" & "Defraging" & "Defrag & Optimize" it still says it's fragmented 34%.
How can that be if I just did all three?

I generally love portable versions of apps as you know, but for some reason I always missed it! (And there it is right on the home page).
Not to mention, I've been using it for quite some time and still somehow missed it. 
Maybe because I always "check for updates" within the program, and it brings you to the installer? Heck, I don't know.
Anyway, thanks!
On another note, I must say I agree (well, to a certain extent), with georgermct .
The reason I've always love this app (portable or not), was it's pure simplicity.
Lately, I am seeing every version adding more and more "bells and whistles".
I really Hope they don't get too carried away with this thing. (Although typically, many developers take an app that works great, and do their best to mess it up...guess that's just the way it goes).
