 | when will windstream offer 768Kbits/sec upstream I was wondering if Windstream ever give me more than 384Kbits/sec. I have been a Windstream customer for over 10 years and I simply want more. |
|
 | Agreed, this would be quite nice to have. Seems other major carriers are offering realistic upstream speeds, I find 384K to be far from adequate. |

Re: when will windstream offer 768Kbits/sec upstream Yes more upstream is needed. With cable offering 1.5 mbps upstream Windstream's 384 kb up is really slow. Windstream should consider adding more to the upstream. 768 kb up would be a start Windstream. |

Upgrades are starting in early November, and will be done in batches until all customers are upgraded, with a finish date of Dec 31st. |

It would be nice if 12 meg customers could get 1.5 meg up or at least 1 meg. |

 | reply to disgruntled Very nice, does this affect Static IP customers as well? I am 3M/384K Static. |

 | reply to Icon said by Icon:12 meg can get either 1 meg, or 768k, depending on the stability. I have 15 or better SNR with only 6 db Attenuation. I'm only about 400 feet from the DSLAM as the wire runs. I figure there's a bridge tap or something causing the low SNR as compared to the ATT, but I'm pretty stable. The only errors I have seen have been on the ATM and these usually show all at once when I downloading a Linux iso using bit torrent and not always then.
I'm showing interleaved (INTL:ADSL2+) and only 759000 up. |

 | reply to disgruntled Icon can we have that in writing because we have been promised that last year but something was not this or that. In writing or some kinda documentation would be sweat:) the hearsay bug is killing me. |

 | reply to Icon yea I have 12mb and very good signals and only have 768k up.. ? |

IconTime KeeperPremium,VIP,MVM join:2004-01-07 Little Rock, AR kudos:3 | reply to disgruntled I don't have anything in writing to give out, I just found out about it today. All new 3 and 6 meg customers will be set at the 768k upload rate, and existing 3 and 6 meg customers will be transitioned between the first part of Nov, through the end of Dec.
@SirMeowmix_I, this will apply to both residential and business customers, dynamic or static. |
|
 | reply to disgruntled I just switched to 6meg from 3meg about 2 months how long will i have to wait for faster upload? Or better than than that who decide the order on who gets upgraded? Or what area? And does greestreak get the upgrade? Because if the greenstreakers do not get the upgrade I will go back to 3mb with the standard package. |

I have no ideas what markets will be first, or any specifics like that. All I know is the timeline...Nov to Dec. So at the most you'll have to wait a few weeks. |

 | reply to disgruntled thanks for the update:) The mob will hold you to the end of Dec. |
