<description><![CDATA[pcme2000 posted : Fairpoint Meeting To Discuss Possible Bankruptcy<br> Heather O'Bryan, Producer     30 mins ago <br>Read Comments Recommend Print Article Email Article Larger Smaller Share <br><br>BOSTON (NEWS CENTER) - An official from the union that represents some Fairpoint Communications workers say there's going to be a meeting with the company today to discuss a possible bankruptcy filing.<br><br>Mike Spillane of the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers says he expects Fairpoint to ask for union concessions during that meeting today in Boston.<br><br>Last year Fairpoint bought Verizon's landline and internet assets in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.<br><br>The company has been plagued with problems and officials have said a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing is a possibility.<br><br>The governors of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont say they want assurances that any debt restructuring by the company doesn't further erode customer service. <br><br>&raquo;<A HREF="http://www.wlbz2.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=110288#" >www.wlbz2.com/news/local/story.a&middot;&middot;&middot;=110288#</A>]]></description>
