| What early impressions? All I see is a picture or two of the device.
There are no reviews on how the phone works. There are no reviews on what applications are going to be available. There are no reviews on the speed of the phone. There are no specs on the phone as to how much memory, processor, and so on.
I guess if you are basing your impressions on a single picture and a bunch of speculation, then its very positive. Personally, I want to see a detailed review on this before I get my hopes up. -- My domain - Nightfall.net |

Personally, I want to see a detailed review on this before I get my hopes up. The Android 2.0 OS is pretty well known and BoyGeniusReport did provide a few bullet points from their hands on. I'm with you though, everyone creamed their pants when the Pre was released and it's (so far) turned out to be rather mediocre.
I'm hoping this phone will be a winner though as so far, it's got everything I want; it's thinner than my iPhone, is a slider with a full QWERTY keyboard, larger/higher resolution screen, it supports Exchange (but does that mean push support? What about tasks and calendar?), and the web browser is based on Chrome with built-in flash support. Oh and it's not on a GSM network. (Ok, that was a cheap shot, but I really hate my AT&T service.)
On paper, it looks GREAT. Here's hoping it's not all hype. -- "What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried?" - Abraham Lincoln |

 | Not thinner than the iPhone. iPhone is 10-11mm thick, Droid is 13.7mm. Not a lot of difference but it is not thinner. |

I want to know how snappy it is. I want to know how useful it is. I want to see the apps that are being developed for it. I want to see the performance of the phone. I want to see the reception on the phone and how well it sounds.
So many things to go over, so little time.
The little bullet points are just enough to wet my appetite. It really answers no questions about the device. -- My domain - Nightfall.net |

The iPhone is 12.3mm (»www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html) but your point still stands, I misread the boygeniusreport. Thanks for the correction. -- "What is conservatism?
