If you decide that the money customers are paying you is not worth investing in network upgrades, your customers are going to look for a provider that does. While in theory you are correct, the main issue is that for many people / places you have a monopoly or at best a duopoly situation.
I do not buy into the "we lose incentive to invest" game. If they CHOOSE not to invest, then remove their right to do business in the state and bring someone in that will. |
