nganivet : I do have exactly the same problem with a Qwest 3347-02-100Q modem: a block of fixed IP adresses, all services do work on the server attached to one of the fixed IP Addresses except PPTP that gets stuck at the 'Verifying password' stage.

Did you have any success in solving your issues? Any tips you can share on making this setup work?

The RV042 has the correct settings as far as I can tell so I prolly did something wrong, went to Expert Mode>Configure>Advanced>Ethernet Bridge>Enable System Bridge.

Do I need to disable NAT? if so how?

Geoff

Netopia 3347-02 and PPTP VPN

hefy_jefy : Hi,
Just moved our office and have new Netopia 3347-02 (AT&T) DSL modem, Software is v7.8.1r2

To make life easy we brought our entire network with us and just plugged the RV042 router in and had the AT@T tech setup the 3347-02 appropriately. Everything is working just fine including two permanent VPN tunnels to two other offices. Also Logmein...

However I cannot gain access from outside the office using the PPTP VPN remote connections that worked just fine before. It sort of connects and says "Checking Password" but never actually works. However if I take the Laptop into the office the exact same VPN connection works just fine. I have looked at all the various settings in the Netopia but am a bit nervous about making changes that will shut the office down!

I am not a wiz at this stuff but good at following instructions, I have remote access to both the RV042 and the 3347-02 via Logmein any ideas?

Geoff
