anon posted : Hi, i just purchase a sb6120 with the firmware 1.0.1.8 and i got time warner to provision the modem but there is a constant drop where i have to restart the modem over and over like 10 times before i can get a steady signal before it drops again in a hour or so. The time and date that i am receiving on the modem is also wrong it is a day faster than the present time.

If anyone could help with this or suggestion i would to hear it.

I talk to a t3 like 3 times already and each one is telling it is fine the line looks good but then it drops as i talk to them. I even disconnected my router from the modem and attached directly to the computer and it still drops.

Please any time warner guys or anyone with knowledge to solve i would love you all. Or i will go to verizon dsl til fios rolls out for brooklyn in Sunset area.

Thanks.

anon posted : I installed my modem the third day they announced it. I never had any problems with speed since day 1.. i am always getting the fill 50/5, and then some. As far as fixing the dropped connection.. i gave up. TWC wont do anything. So i got the POS SMC installed again. they wanted to charge me another $40 for installation i paid for the first time. I was like WTF?!?!?!?!?! i threatened to cancel and switch to FIOS which is NOT available in my neighborhood.. but i was a try. installed it for free. good luck. I have 2 useless sb6120 sitting in my house..
