Re: Cars I'd be embarrassed to have parked in my driveway

Most Chrysler / Dodge
Most Fords
Scion and all cube design cars
Mini/Smart/and all miniature ~12-15" wheel cars
Any truck that can't perform as a truck or offroad
90% of vehicles in general (there, that's easier)

I'm going to go with (of course, the list is dynamic):

Any Minivan
Any Subaru
Hummer
Honda Ridgelin and Element
Smart
Scion xB
Nissan Cube

Older cars:
Chevrolet Cavalier/Pontiac Sunfire
Pontiac Aztek - of course
Chevy Camero
Most older Nissans
Any Pre-2007 Toyota pickup

And many more...

Ah...the pinto or it`s little brother...the bobcat.

Oh...the Vega...forgot that one. My gramma had one that rusted completely through..even the tops of the fenders...within 6 years of new. Man, Ford has come a long way since those days.

I had a 1972 Toyota Corolla with a 1600cc HEMI engine... Yes, a HEMI engine... It was an awesome little car with lots of guts... I wish I had kept it....

First, let me say that my personal automotive tastes are uncommon and I tend to favor large, RWD V8 (or better) cars. I don't really have anything against Japanese cars in general (my wife drives a Mazda 3 and I'd buy another one), but I find everything that many Japanese companies make incredibly boring, ugly, or both.

Unless specified, American cars made before 1972 are exempt from the "catch-alls". There's some older iron I'd love to have, even if a Buick or something else.

Toyota *
Lexus *
Honda *
Acura * (even the NSX)
Any FWD Nissan
Any FWD Infiniti
Any "crossover", even the BMW.
Saab * made after approx 1988
Buick *
Pontiac *
Plymouth *
Any Escalade
Any Hummer
Any 3/4-ton or larger truck used as daily transportation, not a truck. Extra points for each inch of lift.

I coudl probably go on, but you get the idea.

That is a pretty broad brush that eliminates about 75% of all vehicles ever manufactured. It eliminates all Corvette's, Ferrari's, Maserati's, Jaguar's, Rolls Royce's, Porsche's and BMW's. It leaves you with Ford and Chrysler products, that haven't been industry shaking, since Henry and Walter died.

Look Ma, No Wings!

You might be a Redneck if your wheel barrow has rack and pinion steering with a cherry bomb exhaust!

Since most of Fords are made in Mexico/Canada and then imported to the US, that excludes those too.

So... what do you drive, then? That has pretty much eliminated all possible manufacturers, because even those with corporate headquarters in the United States, there are many that are not built here, and/or featuring parts that were not manufactured in the United States.

So, at this point, are you trying to tell us that the only car you'd have is a hand-made kit-car with parts sourced in the states? If so, that is quite a feat! I'd love to see some pictures.

Because after your last statement, I am genuinely curious to what you would be driving then.

Let me introduce you to me ex, then, which I would also be embarrassed to have parked in my driveway.

(See how I nicely got the ex-wife dig in and stayed on topic? It's a gift.)

Conversation yes, but sometimes determining whom replies in a thread are intended for can be difficult to do.
