Just because someone has rights to show specific content in one country, like the US, doesn't mean they have the rights to show them in another. Those rights have to be negotiated for each country/area.

If ever. still doesn't make sense if you ask me.. o well .. only way i can think of bypassing the check is having an actual VPN account(since HotShield doesn't work anymore >.>).. and hey.. Torrents and HTTP still there lol

But I can tell you that Us folks in the states run into this as well when trying to watch stuff from the UK most notably the BBC's stuff.
