Ownership rights are different around the world. Just because someone has rights to show specific content in one country, like the US, doesn't mean they have the rights to show them in another. Those rights have to be negotiated for each country/area.
That is not going to change anytime soon. If ever.

still doesn't make sense if you ask me.. o well .. only way i can think of bypassing the check is having an actual VPN account(since HotShield doesn't work anymore >.>).. and hey.. Torrents and HTTP still there lol

heh.. OwnerShip rights.. feels more like Racism somehow if you ask me

Can't tell where you're from. But I can tell you that Us folks in the states run into this as well when trying to watch stuff from the UK most notably the BBC's stuff.
