Most people running linux for real use iptables extensively to filter, shape, and generally mangle the living daylights out of the cruft flowing in and out.

But rst packets are like ROUS. I don't think they exist.

that setup that i made that is working for me enough with cox communications ISP and my setup is ignore both inbound and outbound of tcp rst packets in both traffic ways and anyway you have linux on you and just go ahead and use iptables whether you pleased with it as you can control tcp flag packets within your own locally policy as you like.

If you don't like your ISP, get another one. If you want a pure dumb pipe, pony up the $$ for a T3. You can do whatever you want with that within the limits of the law.

for comcast, their words can't be helped since they told FCC to stop using a throttling the bandwidth and speeds but they just lied about it and keep doing it with their OWN fucking internal network equipments that is legal what they are doing with their own internal networks they can do as they can do with it so not yours so got it? no matter what they are negotiating with FCC on talk about throttles and stop doing it then they are continues doing in a secretly to keeps throttling on the internal networks as intranet networks.

Why would you think you need to block tcp rst packets? Comcast stopped mucking with BT via rst packets well over a year ago.
