 | SMCWBR14-3GN + Huawei E1962 Hello All, I've just bought a SMCWBR14-3GN router to use it with my Huawei E1962 USB Modem. The problem is that I have some trouble configure configuring the router to use the USB Modem. I select the WAN connection as 3G and set the params of my carrier (Tim Italy: apn (ibox.tim.it and th) and the phone number (*99#)). The router sees the modem, but it doesn't dial/connect. Can anyone help me with this issue? |

 | List of compatible 3G modems for this device appears limited:
3G USB Modem Support List* Huawei E220 Huawei E800 Huawei E172 ASUS T500 BenQ Qisda H10 BandLuxe C100 SonyEricsson MD300 Novatel USB727
Mine is working perfectly with the Huawei E220. The 3G Button does not appear to work though.
My firmware is Ver : smcmr3306a-1.0.1.8-beta-EUr1885.ba

 | yes, I know that it works with E220, but it should work also with E1962. It is just a driver initialization problem. I've seen that the Telnet port is open but need root pass, and the stupid smc guys closed the root access. I've opened a ticket and for a few weeks nothing ... smc support is just awful. |
