Re: Pay more AND get a contract!

As I read it, you pay more with the contract because they are subsidizing the phone cost, same as they always have. T-Mobile's unlimited talk/text plan (w/ contract) was already $99 with a subsidized phone, but now they've added data to that plan for free.

And I don't understand why you're disappointed. As a ebay phone buyer, you can take your phone to T-Mobile and get an unlimited talk/text/data plan for $79 with no contract, right? If I'm reading that right, that's the cheapest nationwide unlimited plan I've ever seen from the big 4.

T-Mobile's new plans do look very good for folks who bring their own phone like myself. Currently I'm on an old FamilyTime Basic package with 500 minutes, which costs $50 a month (contract is long gone). The way I read it, the new Even More Plus plan allows me to get 750 minutes for the same $50 a month, which is a good deal for me. Not sure how much it costs to add an extra line though. Doesn't state it anywhere for the Even More Plus plans.

It's $5.00 for an EMP family plan add-a-line.

Just one question, does it allow tethering?

No idea what they allow, but I know of plenty of folks that tether with their G1 & myTouch devices.

google voice + myfaves + data plan = $64.98 for unlimited everything. After freelancer's union discount it comes out to $66/mo. So actually yes, this is way more expensive than anything I've seen from big 4.

it's nice to see unlimited (and simplified), but the price is atrocious.

How about you take off myfaves if you already have unlimited everything?

That's costing more money.

Where can you get unlimited everything for $65 on the big 4?

On the T-Mobile website or in store.

Even More Plus is the name of the plan series.

myfaves = why its unlimted.

google voice = free SMS (over data)
all calls come in through the 1 google voice # = 1 number on myfaves for making and receiving calls

thus all you need is myfaves and a data plan just to *dial* the call so to speak

65$/mo unlim everything
