Why not? If the processor can handle the task, why not? The Wii is the console that "non-gamers" get, and could easily introduce people to the idea of using their internet connection for more than just email and the occasional porn.
Because when the video isn't what people expect, Netflix will get blamed and not the beloved Wii (I'm a Wii owner too).
